Adventure & Outdoors

Altitude, rock, whitewater, and craters you can walk the rim of.

  • Sagana
  • Mount Longonot

Kenya is more vertical than its reputation suggests. You can cycle through a park with zebra on the verge, summit a 4,985m peak in four days, or raft grade five water two hours from Nairobi. None of it needs you to be an athlete, but all of it needs the right operator.

What people come for

  • Cycling Hell's Gate, the only park in Kenya you can ride through
  • Point Lenana on Mount Kenya — four days, no technical climbing
  • Rafting the Tana at Sagana, grade three to five depending on rain
  • Mount Longonot crater rim, a hard half day from the city

Ours to sort out

What we handle on a trip like this.

Park permits and camping fees
Mountain guides and porters
Gear hire where you need it
Rafting and climbing operators
Acclimatisation planning that keeps you well
A vehicle that will manage the access roads

Roughly how it goes

A shape, not a package.

A starting point we'd happily tear up.

Day 1

Naivasha

Hell's Gate by bicycle, then the gorge on foot. An easy first day that gets you out of the city.

Days 2–5

Mount Kenya

Sirimon up, Chogoria down. Four days, summit on the third morning, and the descent is the prettiest part.

Day 6

Sagana

Rafting on the way back, which is a good way to loosen your legs before the drive home.

Getting you there
